Class 1JB spent the morning with 24 of their parents reading and writing book reviews together. The parents were very impressed with finding out different ways to help their child with their reading at home to make it a fun and exciting time. Look how engaged everyone was at the workshop.

The parents said the following about what they found most interesting in the workshop.
“I enjoyed listening to my son and asking him questions. Shall continue at home with this”.
“Listening to my son telling me what he liked about the book and sharing the story”.
“Getting together with all the other mums and teachers. Tips on reading are quite inspiring and gives you lots of other ideas on reading when talking to other mums.
Working with their parents is also a really fun time for the children, as you can read below.
Edward said, ” I read Duck in the Truck with my mum. After you had to draw a picture”.
Madison said, ” I readed a book with my nan and the we writted what the story was about – Tom Rabbit”.
Regan said, ” We picked a book, put your name, date, title and author and then you had to write what bit you liked and then you had to draw a picture about what you liked”.

Sarina said,” I was reading a book, Jennifer Jones Won’t Leave Me Alone, with my mum and dad. I was writing about the story and I draw a picture”.
