More puppet making in Reception.
February 23, 2012This morning’s busy INSPiRE workshop was led by Miss Firstbrook and Mrs Budd.
Parents and children from Reception A worked together to make puppets from the familiar story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and act out the story.
Take a look at what they got up to together.

This is what some of the parents wrote that they found the most interesting about today’s workshop.
- “Tips and ideas that you can do at home”.
- “How to discuss the book before reading”.
- “How stories can be used to promote talk”.
- “It was nice to work together and to see other parents with their children, to see our children’s friends”.
The children had a great time too.
James said, ” I like my mummy coming. I made a puppet – Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. I coloured it in and cut it out”.
and
Laiba said, “I liked colouring in Goldilocks – green dress and yellow hair”.
and
Sarai said, ” Liked it with my mummy coming. I made puppets with her, I done a puppet show with my mummy”.
and
Jacob said, “I liked colouring in with my nanny and cutting out the 3 Bears. We rolled up a magazine paper to make a straw and then stick on with some sticky tape and that was finished.
A big THANK YOU to Miss Firstbrook and Mrs Budd for an exciting morning.
Next week Reception C and their parents will meet together for their workshop, don’t forget to check out how they got on.
